Our hearts and prayers go out to all who lost family and friends in the horrific attacks on our nation on September 11.  Flags across our land flew at half mast for several weeks after these events, as a  reminder of our loss. We will be forever indebted to the heroes of September 11th, and the selfless works of many others after the attacks. As healing takes place across our nation, a new resolve is blossoming. This picture was taken just 3 days after September 11th  at the prior request of one of our local school districts. It might serve as another reminder that  we must move forward as a nation,  even stronger than  before. We ask a special blessing to those involved in the teaching of our youth. Education is of prime importance to our worth as a nation, aware of who we are,  where we came from, and helping to shape what we will become.
